With the Christmas season around the corner, the different hotels in Penang are gearing up to it, and Cititel Penang is not excluded. For this year, the theme of Cititel Penang's buffets is Colourful Christmas. The celebratory buffets extend for three days, from 23 December to 25 December, 2018.

Cititel Penang's Colourful Christmas Food Preview
My wife and I were privileged to try out the food that Cititel Penang has prepared for their Christmas celebrations on 9 November, 2018. Although it is still over a month to Christmas, the hotel has made preparations early, in order that those planning to book a table may be able to get a feel of what is available.
As is de rigueur for Christmas, there was the Traditional Roasted Turkey with Cranberry and Giblet Sauce and Roast Lamb Leg paired with crusty Roasted Sweet Potatoes. Other Christmas delights can be found in the pastry section. There was Yule Log, Torched Crème Brûlée and of course, Christmas Pudding.
Guests to the Colourful Christmas buffet can also enjoy Wok-fried Prawns with Salted Egg, Shellfish Bisque with Croutons, Oyster Gratin, Brussels Sprouts with Chestnut, Salmon Head with Soy Sauce Reduction, a wide range of seafood on ice, and for those who love Japanese food, there is also sushi and sashimi. For those with sweet tooth, there's Apple Tart, Gingle Bread, Eclairs, Brownies, Peach Crumble and Marshmallows, to name some.
