"Rotan" Sculpture, Chulia Street

Rotan Sculpture, Chulia Street, George Town, Penang (12 May 2013)

The "Rotan" Sculpture is a steel-rod sculpture on the wall on a rattan shop in Chulia Street, George Town.

The "Rotan" sculpture was based on a caricature by cartoonist Tang Mun Kian. It shows a boy hiding behind a bush because his mother is buying a cane. Holding his report card, she asked him whether she should get a thick, medium or thin cane!
