Utama Plaza (GPS: 5.36652, 100.45879) is a disused commercial building in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. It is really a big surprise to me to see such a huge commercial complex being left abandoned. I learned that the building has been in neglect for some twenty years after an exposion at its main power which caused the death of one person.
In 2010, there was a notice that Utama Plaza was put up for sale. Considering the building is still vacant today (June 2015), I suppose the sale did not go through.Utama Plaza is
