Taman Inderawasih is a neighbourhood in Prai, Penang. It is located to the south and west of the Prai river, and is bounded by Chain Ferry Road to the east and the BORR to the south.
The area that is today Taman Inderawasih was formerly mangrove swamp drained by the Prai river. It was the second area to be developed after Chai Leng Park in the 1960s. The development of Taman Inderawasih was carried out by the company Island & Peninsular.
Anchoring the southwestern part of Taman Inderawasih is Malayan Sugar Manufacturing Company, which was set up in 1959, it came about when the area was still in the process of transforming, from a forested wetlands, into what it is today.
