Kamdar is a department store on Burmah Road, in George Town, Penang. It is one of three Kamdar locations in Penang, the other two being at Kompleks Bukit Jambul and Bukit Mertajam. Kamdar occupies a four-storey building along the stretch across from Kinta Lane. The building was built in the mid 1970s and originally housed Island Department Store. After the store closed down in the 1980s, the building was vacant for many years, and later occupied by various tenants before being taken over by Kamdar.
