Permatang Keriang (GPS: 5.56457, 100.36759) is a Malay village in Seberang Perai Utara, on the Penang Mainland. The village is located to the south of the Muda River, and is little more than a country road to the north of the town of Penaga. Perhaps the only sight of interest here is its mosque, Masjid Permatang Keriang.
Permatang Keriang was named after buah keriang, a fruit that looks a lot like purple grapes, but are a lot more sour.
