Gaik Cheng Kong Temple, Permatang Pauh (10 December 2016)
Gaik Cheng Kong Temple (GPS: 5.41429, 100.41168), (Chinese: 玉清宫, Pinyin: Yù Qīng Gōng, Penang Hokkien: Guek3 Cheng3 Keong1) is a large Chinese temple in Permatang Pauh, Seberang Perai. Located along Jalan Sama Gagah, it has a grand porch with eight ornately carved granite pillars supporting its ornate green-tile roof. The roof is embellished with prancing dragons and minute porcelain figurines.
Gaik Cheng Kong has a temple pavilion where performances are often staged especially on the feast days of the gods. The stage is located across the road from the temple proper.
