Kompleks Dato Kailan, Kepala Batas

Kompleks Dato Kailan Kompleks Dato Kailan is a shopping complex in the heart of Kepala Batas. Located off Jalan Datuk Haji Ahmad Badawi, it has many shoplots operated mostly by local small holders. The main entrance to the complex is at Jalan Usahawan 1. I was told that the complex was named after the late Hajjah Khailan binti Hassan, the mother of former prime minister Tun Abdullah Badawi, but I am not sure how the difference in spelling come about.

Rapid Penang has its Kepala Batas at Kompleks Dato Kailan. The Kepala Batas Bus Terminal, located at jalan Usahawan 5, faces Hotel Seri Malaysia Kepala Batas. It is served by Rapid Penang bus 601, 604A, 605 and 610.
