Ju Lie Restaurant (8 September 2013)


Ju Lie Restaurant is a Chinese porridge restaurant at The One Penang Cybercity in Bayan Baru, Penang. It is the second porridge restaurant at The One that we patronized, the first being Restaurant Lye Lee. We were eager to try out Ju Lie as we enjoy porridge.

The menu at Ju Lie Restaurant is quite similar to the one at Restaurant Lye Lee. Visiting it on 8 September, 2013, my wife and I ordered the fish porridge and mantis prawn porridge. For drinks we opted for plain water, one hot and one cold (we prefer drinks without sugar).

In comparison, I have to say that I prefer the taste of the porridge at Restaurant Lye Lee. The porridge here, at Ju Lie, is not so much to my taste. Nevertheless I would encourage you to try both and decide which one is tastier.

Getting there

The nearest bus stop is along Jalan Mahsuri, in front of The One. It is served by Rapid Penang bus 302, 303, 304, 305, 307, 308, 309 and 401E.
