Hokkien Mee, Jelutong 7-Eleven Coffee Shop (15 February 2014)


Jelutong 7-Eleven Coffee Shop is a makeshift coffee shop occupying the sidelane beside the said convenience store. Located on Jalan Jelutong, this coffee shop may have been operating there for decades, but I have only finally eaten here today (15 February 2014). There are two hawker stalls here. They sell Hokkien mee, lor mee, curry mee, lam mee, wan than mee and nasi lemak bungkus.

I tried the Hokkien mee today. I order the large bowl with spareribs and hun1chiang2 (intestines). It cost RM5.50. The taste is not too bad, but not as good as the Hokkien mee I had at Sin Guat Keong Coffee Shop on Kimberley Street last week. Having said that, I wouldn't mind having the Hokkien mee again, though I probably will try other dishes next time.

Getting there

The bus stop on Jelutong Main Road is just within sight. It is served by Rapid Penang bus 301 and 401.
