Kampung Telul Ipil, Penang (22 August 2015)


Kampung Sungai Ipil (GPS: 5.1513, 100.46437) is a small village in Nibong Tebal. The village is on an oxbow loop of Sungai Kerian. It is served by Jalan Teluk Ipil which extends south out of Nibong Tebal town. The road ends at a bridge across Sungai Kerian. The bridge is passable by pedestrians and motorcycles. On the other side of the river is Tanjung Berembang. Perhaps the only place of tourist interest in Kampung Sungai Ipil is the Amazing Nibong Tebal Firefly-Watching Pier.
