The Light Waterfront Linear Park (12 March 2013)


The Light Waterfront Linear Park is a parkland along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway in Gelugor, Penang. It is located between the expressway and The Light Waterfront development.

The Light Waterfront Linear Park was developed by IJM Land Berhad. It has a 2-kilometer winding bicycle path that runs under the canopy of trees. The bicycle path will eventually be linked to another 2.03 km bicycle path at Bandar Sri Pinang, and with the subsequent 2.18 km path further south.

The Light Waterfront Linear Park includes a bridge across Sungai Gelugor before passing through The Light Linear Condominium. The densely planted trees provide a buffer against the noise of the expressway.

Getting there

There is a bus stop along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway near The Light Waterfront Linear Park. It is served by Rapid Penang bus 307 and 401E.
