Bee Gallery, Penang Botanic Gardens (29 May 2011)


Botanic Garden Bee Gallery is one of the additions to the Penang Botanic Gardens. It is located between Craft Batik and the Botanic Garden Hawker Complex. The big signboard at the entrance proclaims "Experience the Beauty of Bees" - I suppose it means appreciate the importance of the insect.

The Botanic Garden Bee Gallery is a place for people to learn more about honey bees. Admission to the gallery is free, and it is open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. On some days, there may also be bee shows.

As would be expected, the Bee Gallery also sells bee-related products, such as honey, royal-jelly and bee pollen, among others.

Getting there

You can reach the Bee Gallery by taking Rapid Penang bus 10 from Weld Quay Ferry & Bus Terminal. The bus stop is just in front of the gallery.
