Kampung Benggali, Butterworth

Kampung Benggali (GPS: 5.40947, 100.37422) is a locality in Butterworth. It is named after the Benggali village that used to be located in the area. It is bounded by Jalan Telaga Air in the north, Jalan Bagan Luar to the west, Jalan Heng Choon Thian to the south and Jalan Siram to the east.

Apart from the northern end, which has an Indian presence, the presence of Benggalis in the area has largely been erased. The main roads in Kampung Benggali are Jalan Kampung Benggali and Lebuh Kampung Benggali. Both of these are predominantly Chinese in appearance today.
