Xiao Yao Xian Shi Temple is a temple being planned for Sungai Ara. It relocates from its former location at Sungai Nibong Kecil. The two-storey temple structure will occupy a 288 square meter plot of land on Changkat Sungai Ara 12.

According to the Xiao Yao Xian Shi Deity Devotees Association, the temple dates back to the 1970s, when it was established along Jalan Dato Ismail Hashim (then known as Jalan Sungai Ara). From there it moved to Sungai Nibong Kecil. The association submitted a request to the state government, and the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) approved the application on 26 November 2014 to lease to the temple the land for ten years, with an option to extend a further ten years, at a rate of RM600 per year.
