Kedai Makanan Seong Huat, George Town, Penang (23 June 2018)
Kedai Makanan Seong Huat (GPS: 5.42224, 100.32586) is a hawker centre in George Town, Penang. It is located at the junction between Larut Road and Bawasah Road. Kedai Makanan Seong Huat was formerly known as Larut Cafe. The name change took effect from 21 July, 2013. This is one of two outlets in Penang, with another Kedai Makanan Seong Huat in Jelutong.
Kedai Makanan Seong Huat has quite a number of stalls of which arguably the most popular is the CRC Mee Mamak Stall, so named because it originated from the roadside at CRC, and whose patrons included the Sultan of Kedah (and as I write this, in August 2013, the present King of Malaysia). Other stalls here sell nasi campur (Malay rice), koay teow thng, Lor Bak and satay, among others.
