Komtar Gold and Jewellery Centre, Penang (29 September 2012)


Komtar Gold and Jewellery Centre is a precinct within the Tek Soon Arcade of Komtar specially set aside for the gold and jewellery trade. Created in the 1990s, it is bordered by Penang Road and Tek Soon Street.

Many jewellery shops that traditionally operate along Campbell Street and Pitt Street have set up an outlet here, occupying the first two levels of the four-storey podium. Among the outlets here include Ban Soon Jewellery Centre and Gold City Jewellery Centre.

Getting there

You can walk to the Komtar Gold and Jewellery Centre from the Komtar Bus Terminal. Head west on Tek Soon Street until you arrive at the centre, which is on your left.
