25 January, 2016 I seldom come to this part of town, but today being a replacement public holiday (for Thaipusam), we somehow found ourselves at Lorong Kampung Jawa, and decided to stop at Wahong Cafe to have our breakfast. I ordered the char koay teow while my wife ordered the koay teow thng.
When my char koay teow arrived, I saw that it was quite tiny, taking up only a quarter of the plate (let me show you). It cost RM4.50 and came with two large prawns. However the char koay teow turned out to be quite tasty. As soon as it was served, I decided that it would not be enough for me, so I ordered the wan than mee. The wan than mee is served in a bowl.
My wife told me that the koay teow thng was nothing to shout about. We both shared the wan than mee, and both agreed that it was also just so-so. Of the three items we tried, I found the char koay teow was the tastiest. Pity that the portion was so little.
