Joo Huat Restaurant (GPS: 5.39843, 100.31465) is a coffee shop along Perak Road in Jelutong, Penang. It is located at the junction between Perak Road and Lintang Slim. The coffee shop is popular for its Lor Mee stall. It is one of the better ones in Penang.

I discovered the lor mee for the first time in 2008. At that time, I enjoyed it so much, I would often buy it to go. Over the subsequent years, the stall became more and more popular. Then I discovered the lor mee at the Jelutong Market, and it has been by preference since.

In addition to Lor Mee, other hawker food available at Joo Huat include yam rice, char koay teow, wan tan mee and koay teow thng. This must be one of the few coffee shops with a standalone yam rice stall (usually it would be sold as part of yong tau foo).
