Kampung Selut (GPS: 5.38991, 100.37911) is a largely Indian village in Prai, Penang. It is located along the Prai Main Road (Jalan Besar), between Malayan Sugar and the now demolished Prai Market. The village came about as a squatter settlement of Indian labourers who were employed in the Prai wharves nearby. The name Kampung Selut, which means "sludge village" came from the sludge of the Prai river.

Today the village houses of Kampung Selut are still around, though it cannot be said for how long. In May, 2015, the old market was demolished by a property developer even before it received approval from the local council to carry out the demolition. Due to its strategic location close to the Butterworth Ferry Terminal, the land is highly desirable for redevelopment.
