Hock Teik See, the Sungai Bakap Tua Pek Kong Temple (22 August 2015)


Hock Teik See (GPS: 5.22469, 100.49999; Chinese: 福德祠; Pinyin: Fú Dé Cí; Penang Hokkien: Hock1 Teik1 Su2/Si33) is the Tua Pek Kong temple of Sungai Bakap. The temple occupies a spacious compound off Jalan Badak Mati, a short distance from the Sungai Bakap old town.

The Sungai Bakap Hock Teik See comprises the main temple building and an auxiliary building across from it. The auxiliary structure houses the temple stage, where performances are held on temple days, such as during Tua Pek Kong's birthday.
