The old St Anne Church, within the St Anne Sanctuary (25 November 2007)
Cherok Tokun (GPS: 5.34683, 100.48665) is Malay village and subdistricts of Bukit Mertajam. It is located to the east of Bukit Mertajam town centre, to the north of Alma and to the west of Machang Bubok.
Jalan Kulim, the main road connecting Bukit Mertajam town with Kulim, passes through Cherok Tokun. Perhaps the most important landmark in Cherok Tokun is the new St Anne Church complex, located on the north side of Jalan Kulim. Within the compound of the church is the prehistoric Cherok Tokun Relics. Also on the north side of Jalan Kulim are the turning in to the Bukit Mertajam Recreational Forest and the Nandaka Vihara Buddhist Monastery.
