Lean Hock Bus Station (GPS: 5.36167, 100.46072) is a bus station on the southern part of Bukit Mertajam town. Located next to the now disused old railway station, it was once the main bus terminal for Bukit Mertajam, but has since lost much of its luster since the present Bukit Mertajam Bus Terminal at The Summit Bukit Mertajam Plaza came into being. This old bus station is the hub for buses of the Lean Hock Bus Company, which was established in 1948. With the introduction of Rapid Penang buses to Bukit Mertajam, Lean Hock Bus had suffered severe set back. It folded up in 2012, but later resumed operations once again. As of Dec 2016, buses of the Lean Hock Bus Company are still plying routes from the old bus station.
