Perak Road Fire Station

Perak Road Fire & Rescue Department (GPS: 5.40191, 100.31524), or Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Jalan Perak, is a major fire station on Penang Island. The location of the fire station on Perak Road is ideal, and it is in the heart of a densely populated area. In the past, this part of George Town was an urban village with many wooden houses. Thus the fire station has a watch tower to view if a fire has broken out. Nowadays, the area around Perak Road is undergoing a transformation, with high rise apartments replacing the village houses.
