Sungai Kubang Semang (10 December 2016)


Sungai Kubang Semang is a river in a rural part of Seberang Perai Tengah. A tributary of Sungai Pertama, which itself is a tributary to Sungai Perai, Sungai Kubang Semang got its name from the surrounding Kubang Semang area. This area is a flat rice-growing plain, with clusters of villages and forested knolls, called "guar" in local Malay. The river is canalised for much of the way, and stretches all the way to the banks of Sungai Kulim.
