Taman Tunku (GPS: 5.3874, 100.40307) is a public park in Seberang Jaya. It was named after the first prime minister of Malaysia, the late Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj. In memory of the Tunku, a memorial of a tengkolok, or Malay ceremonial headgear, marks the entrance of the park.
Taman Tunku is very popular with the locals as an exercise venue. The park has jogging tracks, benches, football field and pavilions, among others. There is also a well maintained Japanese garden.
There are two rivers flowing in parallel through Taman Tunku. The first is called Sungai Pertama, often erroneously labelled as Sungai Derhaka on many maps. The other is a tributary of Sungai Perai. Walkways cross these rivers briding various portions of the park.
