"Then & Now" Sculpture, Armenian Street

"Then & Now" Sculpture (GPS: v) is a steel-rod sculpture on a wall in Armenian Street, within the core zone of the George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site. The sculpture is install on a wall where the street forms a gentle curve.

Based on a caricature by cartoonist Tang Mun Kian, the "Then & Now" Sculpture depicts the morphology of Armenian Street. Where once it was a centre for the coppersmith trade, the street has evolved into an area for the recycling of old newspapers, bottles, aluminium cans and other items.
