Terengganu Road Tua Pek Kong Temple (GPS: 5.40468, 100.30849) is a Chinese temple to the Taoist god of prosperity. Its official name is the Caunter Hall Terengganu Road Hock Teik Seu Tua Pek Kong Temple. The temple has been around for a very long time, before Terengganu Road developed into what it is today.

In the early days, it was a small shrine in the midst of vegetable farms and plantations, but with the urban expansion of George Town, the temple is today surrounding by residential and commercial buildings. It still has its temple arch facing the main road although the temple itself is set further back.

Getting there

Take Rapid Penang 206 to Terengganu Road. The temple is across the road from Taman Free School.
