Masjid Tuan Samad, Permatang Sungai Dua (11 September 2015)


Masjid Tuan Samad (GPS: 5.467587, 100.428799) is the village mosque in Permatang Sungai Dua, Seberang Perai. Therefore, it is also often called Masjid Permatang Sungai Dua.

The namesake of the mosque was an Islamic teacher who lived in that area in the 1930s. The original structure was made of wood with rounded columns in bricks. However the mosque has since been enlarged with awnings and porch that are not in keeping with the original design, and rather has masked the beauty of the mosque.
