Mission Place, Farquhar Street, George Town, Penang (2 July 2014)


Mission Place is a heritage precinct on Farquhar Street in George Town, Penang. It comprises two double-storey bungalows namely No. 33 and No. 35 Farquhar Street. No. 33 is now Farquhar Mansion, a fine dining restaurant offering French haute cuisine. No. 35, which was formerly the Mission House, is in the process (as of July 2014) of being converted into the Mission House Museum.

Getting there

The nearest bus stop is on Penang Road, in front of the Catholic Information Service. It is served by Rapid Penang bus CAT. From there, walk to Northam Road (Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah), cross the road and continue on Upper Penang Road till you reach Farquhar Street. Turn left, go along Farquhar Street until you reach Mission Place.
