Hong Seng Estate (GPS: 5.4419, 100.29815) is a low-income neighbourhood in Mount Erskine, Penang. The neighbourhood was developed beyond the Mount Erskine Hokkien Cemetery to house the working class of George Town. At the time that Hong Seng Estate was developed, the land was among the affordable.

In keeping with its hilly terrain, the houses at Hong Seng Estate appear to huddle close together, with small lanes winding their way through the houses. As it is located a distance from the main road, the estate is often served by hawkers and food sellers who set up itinerant stalls by the roadside.

Getting there

From Jalan Mount Erskine, turn in at the signboard for Hong Seng Estate and head west till you arrive at the neighbourhood.
