Dewan JKKK Bayan Lepas (4 February 2013)


Dewan JKKK Bayan Lepas is a small community hall in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The JKKK presently stands for Jawatankuasa Keselamatan & Kemajuan Komuniti, though originally it stood for Jawatankuasa Ketua-Ketua Kampung. The JKKK is a committee composes of members of the surrounding village.

According to The Star report (https://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2013/07/22/Government-to-introduce-new-model-for-JKKK.aspx/) of 22 July, 2013, the Prime Minister introduced some changes to the composition of the JKKK, capping the age limit of the chairman to 65. This is to ensure that the person is in a position to serve well.
