Tips for buying Residential Property in Penang

Real Estate Review: The View, Batu Uban

The View is a luxury condominium in Batu Uban, Penang. Popularly known as The Twin Towers, it comprises two 29-storey blocks linked by a skybridge. The units range in size from 2,068 to 2,088 square feet. There are only three units per floor. Estimated selling price is from RM680,000 to RM780,000 while estimated monthly rental is from RM3,800 to RM4,800.

Facilities

Facilities include security, multi-storey parking lot, swimming pool, wading pool, fitness centre, sauna, table-tennis hall, indoor badminton court, barbeque area, convenience store and landscaped garden.

Location

The View is 8.8 km from Magazine Circus. Nevertheless, on smooth traffic it is easy to reach city centre smoothly through the Jelutong Expressway. It is ideal for those working in the city or in the south side, and the namesake view of Penang Bridge is exceptional.

Public Transport

You probably do not take public transport if you stay at The View, but your maid probably would. The nearest bus stop is along Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, either walk uphill in the Batu Uban direction, or downhill in the USM main gate direction. Either way, it is far. Rapid Penang Bus No. 301, 303 and 304 pass by along the road.

Amenities

The nearest schools are Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Gelugor and SRJK (C) Keong Hoe. The nearest market are the Lip Sin Market and Super Tanker Market. The nearest hypermarket is Tesco Extra while the nearest mall is Queensbay Mall. There aren't any nearest hospital, with both Lam Wah Ee Hospital and Pantai Hospital about equal distance away.

Traffic

Traffic along Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah in front of The View is heavy for much of the day, and increases towards rush hour. The Sungai Dua-Sunny Ville junction is perenially congested.
