Traffic
Traffic along Jelutong Expressway is smooth except during rush hour, when there may be traffic built-ups at the Macallum Street junction. There were regular traffic jams at the interchange to the Penang Bridge, which has reduced somewhat with the widening of the bridge. Nevertheless Friday evenings are when traffic is heaviest on the bridge, with congestion spilling onto the Jelutong Expressway.
