Although Penang is nowhere compared to Bali and Phuket, it does have a number of spas frequented mostly by the locals. The "in thing" right now are fish spas and fish reflexology. The following is a list of spas in Penang, in alphabetical order.

  2. Danai Spa @ Penang
    Two outlets in Penang, at a bungalow at Tanjung Bungah Park and at g Hotel in Gurney Drive, it offers a variety of treatments. Phone: 04 899 0899 and 04 228 3004

  3. Deluxcious Spa Cuisine
    Located at Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, opposite the KWSP Building, known as Eiffel Elysees Esthetiques Beauty and Wellness Centre. Also an outlet at Paradise Sandy Beach Resort, known as Samporna Spa. Phone: 04 262 1288 and 04 899 5663

  4. Gregory Spa
    Located at Parkroyal Penang, Batu Ferringhi, this spa is located at the beachside. Treatments include aromatic body massage, Balinese massage, Javanese massage and hydrobath massage. Phone: 04 886 2288

  5. Jerejak Spa and Resort
    Located on Pulau Jerejak, in a lush surrounding. Treatments include Balinese massage and Thai massage. Phone: 04 658 7111

  6. Kenko Foot Reflexology
    Located in Gurney Plaza, this outlet offers fish reflexology as well as treatments using Chinese and American techniques. Phone: 04 228 3707

  7. Mandara Spa
    Located at Bayview Beach Resort, this spa is part of the hotel's fitness facilities that include the gymnasium and jacuzzi pool. Phone: 04 881 2123.

  8. The Chi
    This is perhaps the most opulent spa in Penang. It is located within Rasa Sayang Resort. Phone: 04 888 8888
