Jalan Raja Uda is one of the main roads in Butterworth, Penang. It was named after the late Raja Tun Sir Uda Al-Haj bin Raja Muhammad (1894-1976), who served as the first post-independence Governor of Penang, from 31 August, 1957 until 30 August, 1967. The neighbourhood served by this road is also called Raja Uda. Raja Uda comes from Riau aristocratic line, and was a member of the Selangor royal family. He is the grandfather of political blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin.
Jalan Raja Uda is a very long road. The addresses are numbered from south to north. It passes through the Raja Uda residential suburb of Butterworth, and continues through the Raja Uda Industrial Estate. A portion of Jalan Raja Uda lies north of the Butterworth Outer Ring Road (BORR). It is not possible to go straight across the BORR which splits Jalan Raja Uda into two.
