Jalan Pasar is a village road in Permatang Tinggi, Seberang Perai, Penang. It extends from Jalan Permatang Tinggi in the west to Jalan Simpah in the east. Running parallel to Jalan Pahlawan, it is also crossed by both Jalan Baru and Jalan Besar, placing it among the east–west link roads of the settlement.
Jalan Pasar forms a straight route that connects several of the main parallel roads in Permatang Tinggi. Its junction with Jalan Permatang Tinggi provides access to the western approach of the village, while its eastern end links to Jalan Simpah. The road runs close and parallel to Jalan Pahlawan, reflecting the grid-like street pattern of the village.
Like most of the roads in Permatang Tinggi, Jalan Pasar is largely residential in nature, with homes flanking both sides of the street. The name “Pasar,” meaning “market” in Malay, hints at the possibility that this area once played host to small trading or communal activities, though today it primarily serves as a quiet neighbourhood lane.
By linking Jalan Permatang Tinggi to Jalan Simpah, and intersecting with Jalan Baru and Jalan Besar, Jalan Pasar functions as one of the connective roads that facilitate movement across the settlement. Together with Jalan Pahlawan and other parallel lanes, it forms part of the network that keeps the village compact and navigable.
