Jalan Pahlawan is a local road in the village of Permatang Tinggi, in Seberang Perai, Penang. It runs in an east-west direction, connecting Jalan Tamil in the west to Jalan Simpah in the east. Along its course, Jalan Pahlawan is intersected by both Jalan Baru and Jalan Besar, making it an important cross-link within the village road network.
Unlike shorter lanes such as Jalan Tinggi, Jalan Pahlawan is longer and more connected. It forms a practical thoroughfare for local residents, as it ties together four of the main parallel roads that run through Permatang Tinggi. This connectivity makes Jalan Pahlawan one of the useful east-west link roads in the village.
Like many of the streets in Permatang Tinggi, Jalan Pahlawan is primarily residential in character. The road is lined with houses typical of a traditional village setting - modest, single-storey dwellings with small gardens and yards. Daily life here is unhurried, reflecting the rural charm of the settlement.
Though modest in scale, Jalan Pahlawan plays a significant role in connecting different parts of the settlement. For villagers moving between Jalan Tamil, Jalan Simpah, and the parallel lanes in between, Jalan Pahlawan offers a convenient route. Its intersections with Jalan Baru and Jalan Besar further enhance its function as a crossroad, strengthening internal movement within the community.
