Jalan Batu Gantung, George Town, Penang (5 March 2013)
Jalan Batu Gantung is a minor road serving the Batu Gantong neighbourhood of George Town, Penang. A no-through road, it runs west from the intersection with Scotland Road and York Road towards the Penang Turf Club and Batu Gantong Cemetery. Once the outskirts of George Town, Jalan Batu Gantung has since the late 20th century undergone rapid urban development. Today it has a number of low-rise and high-rise apartments.
Jalan Batu Gantung forms junctions with Jalan Lumba Kuda and Jalan Sekolah La Salle. It experiences high traffic during rush hours and on every racecourse day. During such times, traffic policemen would be stationed at the Scotland Road intersection to control the flow.
