Jalan Scotland, Penang (11 August 2022)
Jalan Scotland, formerly known as Scotland Road, is a major road in George Town. It starts at the junction with Western Road and ends at the interchange with Jalan Air Itam and Green Lane, forming part of the the middle ring road system of George Town.
Minor roads branching off from Scotland Road include Piggot Road, Skipton Road, Taman Scotland, Jalan Batu Gantong, York Road, Jalan Lahat, Lorong Lahat and Solok Scotland.
Originally Scotland Close was the southern end of Scotland Road where it meets Jalan Air Itam. In the 1960s, the junction of Scotland Road and Green Lane were aligned to meet at a roundabout. This created Scotland Close and Han Chiang Road. The roundabout was replaced by an interchange in the early 1980s.
