Langley Station is a modern commuter rail station located in the village of Langley, within the borough of Slough, in Berkshire. Langley Station was originally opened by the Great Western Railway on 4 June 1849. It was built during the expansion of the rail network west of London and has served local communities for over 170 years. The station has always been known as “Langley,” reflecting the name of the surrounding village, which dates back to at least the Domesday Book of 1086.

The station is located along Station Road in Langley. Its main entrance is accessible from Station Approach, with additional access provided from Meadfield Road. Langley Station features a modest ground-level building that contains ticketing facilities, passenger information points, and a small convenience kiosk for commuter use. By road, Langley Station lies approximately 22 miles (35 km) west of Charing Cross. Travel time by car typically takes 45 to 60 minutes depending on traffic conditions, particularly along the M4 corridor.

Rail Services

Langley Station is part of the National Rail network and is served exclusively by the Elizabeth Line. It does not provide services from the London Underground, London Underground Stations, Overground, or any other Transport for London rail services. Passengers heading to the Tube must change at interchange stations like Paddington or Liverpool Street.

Langley Station was one of the stations upgraded and modernised as part of the Crossrail project, which later became known as the Elizabeth Line. A new footbridge, lifts, and extended platforms were installed to accommodate the longer, more frequent trains. Despite these modern features, the station still retains some of its original Victorian architectural charm, including elements of its red-brick structure and canopy.
