Burmah Crescent has one of the few pockets of undeveloped land in George Town. The area is called Lau1 heok3 Hnui2, meaning "wild pepper leaf plantation" in Penang Hokkien. You can even find here a few kampong houses, something astonishing as Burmah Crescent is close to the stately neighbourhood of Codrington Avenue.
28 September, 2013: The stretch of Burmah Crescent from Peirce Road to Codrington Avenue is made one way to facilitate traffic flow in the Pulau Tikus area.
