Hougang MRT Station (GPS: 1.37095, 103.89249; NE14) is an underground station of the Singapore MRT. Located at the centre of Hougang New Town, the station is served by the North East Line between the Kovan MRT Station (NE13) and Buangkok MRT Station (NE15). In future, it will serve as an interchange station with the Cross Island Line between the Defu MRT Station and the Serangoon North MRT Station.
Hougang is located in Singapore Postal District 19.
The Hougang MRT Station opened on 20 June 2003. It is connected to the Hougang Central Bus Interchange at street level.
