Postal District 1 is located in the southern part of Singapore and covers the city’s historic and financial heart. It is widely recognised as the prime central district of the city, encompassing parts of the Downtown Core and surrounding areas.

Low residential population relative to its commercial footprint, making population density moderate.

Population Density

Due to the dominance of commercial buildings, office towers, and cultural sites, the residential population is low. Rough assessment: under 5,000 residents in the district itself.

Despite being the city’s core, District 1 has very few residents, giving it a different rhythm compared to suburban districts.
