Clementi Central is a subzone within the Singapore urban planning framework, forming the core of the Clementi Planning Area. With a population of about 14,510 in 2024 and covering 0.7492 sq km, Clementi Central is characterised by a mix of public housing, private residences, commercial centres, and essential community amenities.
Clementi Central is strategically located at the heart of the Clementi Planning Area. It is bordered by Clementi North to the northeast, Clementi West to the southwest, Clementi Woods to the southwest, West Coast subzone in the west and Faber in the northwest. Its compact footprint makes it one of the most intensely used subzones in the planning area.
As of 2024, Clementi Central is home to approximately 14,510 residents. The subzone has a high population density of 19,367 per sq km, reflecting its role as a central residential and commercial hub. Between 2020 and 2024, the population grew by 0.90%, showing steady demand for housing in the area.
The land use in Clementi Central is dominated by residential estates, town centre facilities, and retail amenities. The presence of HDB towns, shopping malls like Clementi Mall, and community services creates a lively environment. At the same time, its adjacency to other Clementi subzones balances the urban intensity with pockets of greenery and recreational spaces.
Clementi Central is exceptionally well connected. The Clementi MRT Station (East-West Line) serves as the main rail hub, with an integrated bus interchange that connects residents to other parts of Singapore.
