Leandro's Lane was named after a Eurasian who donated the land to build the lane. He owned the land in the area, which was once Kampung Serani, or Eurasian Village. The Eurasians in Pulau Tikus is today just a foggy memory. The legacy of their settlement in Pulau Tikus includes the Church of the Immaculate Conception and the Kelawei Road Protestant Cemetery.
Leandro's Lane has today been developed for residences. Among these is Bellisa Court. At the junction of Leandro's Lane and Burmah Road is Bellisa Row while at the junction of Leandro's Lane and Kelawei Road is 99 Kelawei. It occupies the site of a former Eurasian Boy's School called "Noah's Ark", associated with the Church of the Immaculate Conception nearby.
