Chulia Lane is a minor road in the inner city of George Town, Penang. It runs in a northeast direction connecting Chulia Street to Stewart Lane. It also forms a junction with Market Lane.
Until the repel of the Rent Control Act and the subsequent inscription of the inner city as a World Heritage Site, the houses along Chulia Lane were largely neglected. This is no longer true, as commercial interest in inner city properties has been lifted by the inscription. As a result, a number of residential properties along Chulia Lane have been purchased to be turned into guesthouses, boutique hotels and restaurants. This is expected to continue in the immediate future.
