The TOP is the food and entertainment precinct in the newly rejuvenated Komtar in Penang. It is a combo of several attractions including the Tech Dome Penang, Rainbow Skywalk, Indoor Observatory Deck, Outdoor Observatory Deck, the 7D Discovery Motion Theater, the Jurassic Research Center, the Danceoki, Ocean Explorer, Penang State Gallery and many other attractions. Most of the attractions at The TOP are categorised into two groups called "Avenue of Adventures" and "Window of The Top." Under Avenue of Adventures are attractions such as DanceOki, Magic Mirror Maze, 7D Discovery Motion Theater, Tongkat Ali King, Jurassic Research Centre, Musical Carousel, Ocean Explorer and Dragon Regatta, while under Window of the Top, the attractions are Coco Cabana Bar & Bistro, Pot of Gold, Lucky Horseshoe Chair, Upside Down Musical Orchestra, Rainbow Skywalk and Observatory Deck.

Also within The TOP is 59 Sixty Restaurant, the highest restaurant in the country. On the sixth floor is the Imperial Court Restaurant. There are several other food and beverage outlets at The TOP including Only Mee, Chocolate Passion, Richdad and Penang Street Food. The fourth floor passageway at The TOP is graced by a 63-meter ceiling LCD display, the biggest in Penang.

Affiliated to The TOP, but under a separate management is Tech Dome Penang. As part of the rejuvenation of Komtar, the height of Komtar Tower was increased from 65 floors to 68 floors.

The revitalisation of Komtar is undertaken by Only World Group Holdings Sdn Bhd, the company behind Sunway Lagoon and many other theme parks in the world.

Admission to The TOP

As of November 2018, the standard rate is RM93 adult and RM55 child (<90cm, up to 12 years)/senior citizen (60 years and above)/disabled. MyKad holders enjoy the rates of RM74 adult and RM45 child/senior citizen/disabled. These are multiple entry rates for all the sites, except Boutique Aquarium, Zombie OUtbreak, Augmented Reality Virtual, The Gravityz, Formula One and TOP Capsule.

For The TOP's Rainbow Skywalk, the single-entry standard rate is RM64 adult and RM45 childs/senior citizen and MyKad rate of RM45 adult and RM26 child/senior citizen/disabled.

Pricing of The TOP Attractions

Package A: Avenue of Adventures (Day Pass)
Package A offers you an all-inclusive ticket for visiting DanceOki, Magic Mirror Maze, 7D Discovery Motion Theater, Tongkat Ali King, Jurassic Research Centre, Musical Carousel, Ocean Explorer and Dragon Regatta (children only). Operating hours is 10:00am to 10:00pm. Ticket price is inclusive 6% GST.
RM150 Adult and RM100 Child, Dewasa sembilan-puluh-lapan ringgit dengan MyKad dan kanak-kanak lima puluh ringgit dengan MyKid.

Package B: Window of The TOP (Day Pass)
Package B offers you a visit to attractions that include the Rainbow Skywalk and Observatory Deck. Located on the 65th and 68th levels of Komtar, it also includes the Coco Cabana Bar & Bistro, the Pot of Gold, Lucky Horseshoe Chair and Upside Down Musical Orchestra. The ticket is valid for one year from the date of purchase, and is good for a single visit with no time limitation throughout the opening hours which is 10:00am to 6:00pm. After 6:00pm, tickets have to be purchased for the Coco Cabana dinner package priced from RM138 per person. Ticket price is inclusive of 6% GST.
RM118 Adult (Above 130cm) and RM88 Child (90-130cm); Dewasa (melebihi 130sm) lapan-puluh-lapan ringgit dengan MyKad dan Kanak-kanak (90-130sm) lima-puluh-lapan ringgit dengan MyKid.

The TOP's Gift to Penangites (11 February 2017)


Specially for Penangites from 15 February to 15 March and from 1 April to 30 April, 2017

The TOP is pleased to announce special ticket prices exclusively for Penangites, making it an opportune time for those eager to explore The TOP to have a chance to do so. From 15 February to 15 March, Penangites will enjoy a special rates of RM48 (for adults) and RM28 (for children) for the Avenue of Adventures pass, which includes the Jurassic Research Center, while prices for the Window of THE TOP (which includes Rainbow Skywalk) will be RM38 (for adults) and RM28 (for children) from 1 to 30 April, 2017.

The TOP Banquet Hall
