I had the oyster omelette. Very tasty. I ordered the small plate at RM10.

I can remember this day, because we went to Super Tanker Hawker Centre twice! First time was during lunch, when we had the Hokkien Mee (see below). I ordered the large bowl (RM5.10 each but they charged us RM10 total) for my wife and me. Yes, the taste is good.

On my second visit to Super Tanker Hawker Centre on the same day, it was for supper. It was already 9:40pm at night, after the talk by Jane Goodall at USM, and may stalls were already finishing for the day. The char koay teow was still available, so I ordered a plate with duck egg and extra spicy. It was delicious. The price, I couldn't well remember, I think it was six something.
Char Koay Teow with Duck Egg at Super Tanker Hawker Centre (23 November 2013)

Visited Super Tanker in Lip Sin. I haven't been here for quite some time. It is certainly one of the bigger hawker centres in Penang, with lots of people coming to have their dinner here.
I saw a lot of hawker stalls, but couldn't well decide what to have. I also notice many stalls are being operated by foreigners, but it was also obvious that the stalls that do the most business are those maintained by local hawkers. I noticed the char koay teow and Singapore bee hoon stalls with lots of customers. Both are run by locals. So it confirms that locals still prefer to order from stalls maintained by local hawkers.
We had fish meat bee hoon and pasembur that night. My wife asked me to order the fish meat bee hoon for her. She then expressed regret when I told her that the fish meat bee hoon stall was manned by foreigner cooks. Although we have had a surprise before, when a foreign cook prepared satay just as good (refer here), more often than not, it has been a disappointment. In the case of the fish meat bee hoon, this unfortunately was so. Not completely was the foreign cook's fault, but my wife also commented that the bee hoon did not taste like what such bee hoon should taste like, so the choice of bee hoon used was also not the choice.
The pasembur was also not particularly impressive. In this case, it was sold by a local hawker, not a foreigner, so I certainly cannot blame all untasty food on foreign cooks. In any case, the pasembur was "nothing special" and a bit too sweet. Perhaps it would appeal to those who want their pasembur sweet.
