Koek Road, Singapore (1 August 2017)
Koek Road is a minor road in the
Orchard area of
Singapore. It runs in a single direction from
Kramat Road to end at the intersection with
Orchard Road and
Killiney Road, between
Orchard Point and
Orchard Plaza.
Koek Road was named after Edwin Koek, a well-known solicitor of Dutch descent in 19th century Singapore. He was the son-in-law of William Cuppage, whose name is also immortalized in nearby
Cuppage Road. Both men owned properties on this part of Singapore, which was the main reason why the roads were named after them.
